Dům fotografie

In the city centre of Prague - 5min from old square, the House of Photography was designed to provide a new room for Museum of Photography. The five stories volume occupies an entire plot in Dlouha street volumetrically reacting to its surrounding. The facade is considered as displaying area introducing the exposition to outside and attracting people to come in. Architectural solution is based on transparency and interactivity of the glass skin. Ground floor is occupied by the semi-public functions as coffee-bar, entrance and book store. Upper floors accommodate all kinds of exhibition spaces. The roof area is designed to provide a space for cultural activities as exhibitions openings, workshops etc.
