GMU Hradec Králové

This project, a Gallery of modern art in Hradec Králové, is divided into two parts following its functional solution. The first part accommodating a gallery is composed of exhibition halls series organized in a sense of spiral. The second part provides all other functions. On the ground floor „a commercial zone“(coffee bar, art shop) is designed to create a filter between public external space and the gallery. First and second floor are occupied by education centre providing several study-rooms, auditoriums and studios. The administration is placed on the third floor. The dualism of the program scheme has been taken as a basic principle of the building form. The gallery part influenced by internal space organization appears very dynamic in contrast to administrative - educational half of the building. Supply, technical rooms and garage are situated underground.
