This project was designed to prove the green screen application related to diverse apartment standards. Two predominant elevations of the building relate differently to their environment, the south oriented facade is rendered in stainless steel mesh providing a support to climbing plants while the north facade provides an access to all apartments. This housing block is one side oriented, accessed by a couple of stairways dividing a volume into three blocks. The south facade reacts naturally to changing climate within the year. During the summer period the natural green screen provides shading and cooling as well as it defines a perimeter of private open-air terraces. The foliage falling opens up the screen to let the sun rays go through to warm up the interiors during the winter period.
